Hello! I'm Amy Maschue, a wife and mother of four young children. I am a native of Sonoma, California who moved to Tucson, Arizona in 1993 to attend University of Arizona (U of A). I received a B.S. (1996) and M.S. (1997) from U of A in Speech and Hearing Sciences and became a certified speech language pathologist. In 1999, after moving to Phoenix, I opened a private practice focused on providing speech and language services for young children with autism and their families. My husband Phil and I were married in 2001 and welcomed our first child in 2002.

I designed MODEST MIDDLES nursing tank tops out of necessity. After each baby, I tried to find a nursing shirt that looked good AND KEPT ME COVERED, while allowing me to easily access the nursing bra of my choice. I couldn't find it.

The typical nursing shirts looked like nursing shirts with that gappy panel that never stayed in place. I always fumbled trying to get myself out of the odd "slit" which just ended up frustrating me and my baby.
