PostSubject: Having issues with Dr. Bronner's   Tue Dec 02, 2008 1:55 am

Has anyone else ever tried using Dr. Bronner's shikakai soaps to wash their hair. Each time I do, my hair feels thick, tangly, and greasy. It's like horse hair. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now. I've been washing my hair about 1-2 times a week. I'm thinking of switching to baking soda. I ordered some of the Dr. Bronner's hair rinse, so I will try that and if that doesn't make it better, then I'm gonna try something else.

Ok, so I received the citrus rinse from Dr. Bronner's and I have to say that my hair did a complete 180..in a good way. It used to be that my hair felt matted, thick, greasy and horse like when I used just the shikakai soap and and leave-in conditioner. The other day, when I washed my hair, I used about a capful of the rinse, diluted it with a cup of water, and slowly poured it over my hair. Instantly, I felt the greasy-ness disappear and I could start to run my fingers through my hair. When my hair was dry, it was almost completely "normal" with very little greasy-ness. I will continue to use the rinse of course, and I imagine that within a week or two, my hair will be absolutely wonderful and easy to style.

So for anyone thinking about trying Dr. Bronner's, the rinse is an absolute MUST!
